Organized in 1886, christened in 1898, federated in 1907 at the national level and in 1921 at the state level, The Cecilian Club of Richmond, Kentucky currently has a membership of over 60 people. The members are music educators and others invested in promoting music education and appreciation of the arts.

Meetings are held on Saturdays at 10:15 a.m. September through June or as listed in the yearbook.

Club officers are President/ Margaret Foote, Vice President/Bernardo Scarambone,  2nd Vice president/Marilyn Roberts,  Secretary/Laura Compton, and Treasurer/Harriet Bromley.

The many committees include Endowments, Foster Camp Weekend, Historian, Junior Club Counselor, KfMC Music Festival, Legislation, Membership, National Music Week, Opera, Poetry, Program, Publicity, Scholarships, Yearbook, and Youth Musicale.
